Analysis of Coating Thickness for Inflatable Oxford Fabric

The coating thickness directly affects durability, air tightness and outdoor aging resistance.

Light-duty inflatables such as small arches and cartoon models usually adopt a coating of 0.25–0.3mm, matched with 210D and 300D oxford cloth. It is lightweight and cost-effective for short-term events.

For medium and large commercial inflatables used outdoors long-term, the 0.35–0.5mm thickened coating with 420D/600D fabric is preferred. It features wear resistance, UV protection and stable air tightness.

High-end customized and giant inflatables use 0.6–0.8mm double reinforced coating, with excellent tear resistance to extend service life. Proper coating thickness is the core guarantee of inflatable quality.
