PVC tarpaulin cloth inflatable products are widely used in various scenarios thanks to their excellent toughness, superior air tightness and long-lasting durability. Apart from inherent material quality and manufacturing craftsmanship, the service life of inflatable products largely depends on daily storage and maintenance.
Standardized storage practices can effectively prevent common problems such as fabric mildew, cracking, coating peeling and air leakage, greatly extending the service cycle of PVC inflatables.
Thorough cleaning and complete drying are the core prerequisites for storage. After use, open all air valves to fully exhaust the internal air and accumulated water, and never store the product in a damp state. Wipe off surface sediment, dirt and oil stains with neutral detergent, then rinse thoroughly to remove residual detergent. Place the product in a cool and ventilated area for natural air drying. Direct sunlight exposure is strictly prohibited, as ultraviolet rays and high temperatures will damage the PVC coating and cause the fabric to age and become brittle. In addition, remove all sharp debris on the surface and repair tiny damages in a timely manner to prevent further deterioration during storage.
Proper folding and packing methods are essential for product protection. It is recommended to roll up the inflatable loosely instead of making repeated hard folds or dead creases at fixed positions, which can avoid permanent creases, whitening and cracking of the fabric. Squeeze out all residual air and close the air valves to block dust before packing. Use breathable cloth bags for outer packaging instead of airtight plastic films, so as to prevent water condensation, mildew growth and fabric adhesion.
A qualified storage environment is also indispensable. Store PVC tarpaulin cloth inflatables indoors in a dry, ventilated and constant-temperature space, keeping them away from heat sources, acid, alkali, oil stains and other corrosive substances. Place the products on elevated supports to isolate ground moisture and prevent rodent damage. Avoid stacking heavy items on the inflatables to prevent permanent extrusion deformation. For long-term storage, apply a thin layer of talcum powder on the fabric surface to prevent adhesion, and ventilate the products every two to three months to keep them in optimal condition.
