Most inflatable products are made of premium flexible fabrics such as PVC tarpaulin and TPU, featuring light weight and excellent air tightness. However, improper long-term storage will easily cause common fabric damages, including crease cracking, fabric adhesion, mildew aging and printing abrasion, greatly shortening the service life of inflatables. Standard and scientific storage methods are essential to protect inflatable fabrics and maintain product integrity.

Proper pre-storage treatment lays the foundation for fabric protection. When recycling inflatable equipment, fully deflate all internal air and never store inflatables with residual pressure, which can effectively avoid fabric stretching, degumming and permanent deformation. Thoroughly clean all sand, oil stains and sharp debris on the fabric surface, as these impurities will continuously rub against the fabric after folding and damage the airtight layer. Cleaned inflatables need to be naturally air-dried in a cool and ventilated place. Ensure the fabrics are completely dry before storage to prevent mildew growth and coating peeling. Direct sunlight and high-temperature drying are strictly prohibited to avoid fabric brittleness and aging.

Folding methods directly determine the service condition of inflatable fabrics. For large spherical and dome inflatables, rolling storage is highly recommended to minimize surface wrinkles. For regular inflatable products, fold the fabric loosely instead of compacting or strapping tightly, so as to prevent permanent hard creases that are prone to cracking in low-temperature environments. Fold the printed side inward to avoid scratch and abrasion of surface patterns. Meanwhile, avoid repeated folding at fixed positions to reduce fabric fatigue damage.

Standard storage environment is indispensable for long-term preservation. Inflatables should be stored in cool, dark, dry and well-ventilated indoor spaces, kept away from heat sources, direct UV rays and sharp hard objects. For long-term storage, apply a small amount of professional maintenance powder to prevent fabric adhesion. Unfold and ventilate the inflatable regularly for maintenance. These standardized operations can effectively avoid fabric damage and greatly extend the service life of inflatable products.
